Butterfly Thank You in Perfect Plum

I used the Another Thank You Photopolymer, Best of Butterflies and Swallowtail stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create a thank you card to share with you today.  My card design was inspired by the Fab Friday 25 Sketch and the CAS-ual Friday CFC113.  The colors were inspired by the Dynamic Duos #68.

Another Thank You

I started by stamping the Swallowtail butterfly image in VersaMark ink on a Crumb Cake panel.  Then I sponged a little bit of Perfect Plum ink over the wings and I adhered the panel to a panel of Perfect Plum with SNAIL, then to the Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added three Perfect Plum Candy Dots to the lower right side of the card.

Another Thank You 1

I stamped the small butterfly image from the Best of Butterflies stamp set in Perfect Plum on a Crumb Cake panel.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Another Thank You Photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Perfect Plum panel with SNAIL then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the butterfly image from the Best of Butterflies stamp set in VersaMark ink on White Vellum, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heat embossed it and punched it out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch.  I turned the butterfly over and colored the back side with my Perfect Plum Stampin’ Write Marker, then adhered the vellum butterfly to the card front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Best of Butterflies

To finish the inside of the card, I simply inked up the butterfly image and stamped it four times without reinking.

  1. I have seen many cards using the Swallowtail stamp, but I think this is the very prettiest one I seen! The colors are just awesome. What a delight for the eyes! Thank you for sharing!

  2. This is really pretty! I love the combination of the plum and the Crumb Cake. The white embossing really pops and I love the larger butterfly in the background. Gorgeous card! Thanks for joining us at Fab Friday!

  3. I really like how you layered the sentiment panel over the larger butterfly so you can just see parts of it. The white embossing looks great as well! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
