I made these thank you cards for my daughter who just had a birthday.  She loves finger painting and when I saw the CAS(E) This Sketch #48, I knew exactly what I was going to do.  I pulled out the Baby Prints and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! and I went to work to create some clean and simple cards that were easy to reproduce.

I started by stamping the hand image from the Baby Prints stamp set in Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement, on a Whisper White panel.  ***One quick tip to help you ink up partial images without using a marker:  Stick a Post-It note over the part of the image that you do not want inked, turn your stamp over so that the rubber side is up and tap your ink pad over the stamp.  Then just lift the Post-It note off and stamp your image.  No extra ink where you don’t want it!

Then I stamped sentiments in Tangerine Tango ink between the two hands, one is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set and the other is from the Another Thank You stamp set.  Since my daughter tends to be a little messy when she’s creating, added the ink splatter image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Tangerine Tango along the edges.  🙂  I adhered the stamped panel to a Tangerine Tango panel with SNAIL and to the Tempting Turquoise card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few splatters in Tempting Turquoise on the Whisper White panel inside the card to complete it.

This is a closer photo of the card with the sentiment from the Another Thank You stamp set.

And this is the card with the Sassy Salutations sentiment.  These were quick and easy to create and I thought perfect for her thank yous.
