I used the Wetlands and By the Seashore stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today.  It’s another masculine birthday card since we’ve got a lot of male birthdays in my at this time of the year.  My card design was inspired by Sketch Frenzy Friday 100413 and the colors were inspired by The Paper Players #167.

I started by embossing a panel of Midnight Muse Core’dinations Card Stock with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  I sanded the raised areas with my Stampin’ Sanding Block, then adhered the panel to a Pool Party card base with SNAIL.  Next, I stamped the By the Seashore images in Pool Party ink on a Whisper White strip and I adhered the strip to a strip of Pool Party card stock then to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the Sandpiper image from the Wetlands stamp set in Pool Party ink on a Pool Party panel and I stamped the sentiment in Midnight Muse ink in the lower right corner.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock then to a piece of Midnight Muse card stock that I’d cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits die with SNAIL .  I snipped off the half circle on the right side of the die cut and adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I finished the card by tying a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine through a Natural’s Designer Button and adhering it to the card front with a Glue Dot.
