Truly Grateful Thank You Card With Burlap Die Cut – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Truly Grateful stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a quick thank you card to share with you today.  My card design was inspired by CAS(E) This Sketch #53 and the colors were inspired by The Paper Players #171.

Truly Grateful - Stamp With Amy K

I started by stamping the woodgrain image from the Truly Grateful stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Chocolate Chip ink on a Very Vanilla panel.

Then I colored the image of the wheat with my Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it once on scrap paper then stamped it on the Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink on the card front using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Chocolate Chip card stock with SNAIL then to a Crushed Curry card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a Tangerine Tango Candy Dot from the Brights Candy Dots pack next to the sentiment and an acorn that I cut with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die from 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon (on sale this week for 25% off).  I used Sticky Strip to adhere the burlap die cut to the card front.

I colored and stamped the wheat image again on a Very Vanilla panel to complete the inside of the card.

The complete supply list, including card stock cuts, is at the very bottom of this post.

I spent almost all day yesterday at a Vendor Fair that benefitted my girl’s school.  I thought that I’d share a few pictures of my little table with you.  I had fun meeting people, spending the day introducing a few people to stamping and talking with a few veteran stampers.  I put up a display with some holiday cards and did two make and takes.

My little window table right by the front door.  Good in that I got to see everyone…bad in that it was in the 30’s here yesterday so I about froze every time someone opened the door!  I made my display from some old windows that I bought for $5 and a little chicken wire.

Ornament Tree 4

If you’re a Peanuts fan, you might recognize this as the “Charlie Brown Tree”.  I added a few ornaments but it still looked a little twiggy.  🙂  Some close-ups of the a few of the ornaments are below.

Hope that you enjoyed seeing my little table.  It was a great day yesterday…now I need to get back to some stamping!  🙂

  1. Nice work, Amy! I am your latest follower! Love your set up for the card display! Awesome. I have to get my Paper Players entry done. Don’t you just love the colors? See you soon!

  2. Your display set up was eye-catching. It was an effective use of recycled material. And your interpretation of the sketch challenge was artistic and clever, giving me inspiration to try something different.

  3. Love how you stamped your background stamp on an angle, brilliant use of the sketch. The wheat and sentiment nestled into the corner is very cool, too. Thanks for sharing your work with us at The Paper Players, Amy!
