I’m sharing a card today that I made with the Perfect Pennants and Best of Birthdays stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  My card design was inspired by Mojo Monday #326.  For something a little different, I turned the sketch on its side.

I started by embossing a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 28).  Since the panel is wider than the embossing folder, I placed about 2/3 of the panel in the folder and ran it through my Big Shot sideways, then switched the panel around and ran it back through sideways again to emboss the other 1/3.  I adhered the embossed panel to a Whisper White panel, then to a Crushed Curry card base with SNAIL.

I layered a panel of Kaleidoscope DSP (available Jan 3) over a Whisper White panel and adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.  Then added a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper (on sale through Jan 6 for 25% off), using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere it.

I stamped the little present images from the Best of Birthdays stamp set (clear mount only) in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Whisper White panel, then colored them with Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Markers.  I adhered the stamped panel over a Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay panel, then adhered the layered panel to the card front with SNAIL.

Next, I colored the sentiment from the Perfect Pennants stamp set (available Jan 3) with my Stampin Write Markers, stamped it on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the Banners Framelits die (available Jan 3).  I trimmed just a little off the top and both sides and layered it over a Bermuda Bay banner cut with the same Banners Framelits die.  I finished the card front by placing two Basics 3/8″ Glimmer Brads through the top of the banner and adhering the banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Because this is going to my nephew, I stamped a fun little sentiment from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Crushed Curry ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.  I added a little strip of Kaleidoscope DSP to finish it.
