Simply Celebrate Backyard Basics Card & New Weekly Deals from Stampin’ Up!

I pulled out my Simply Celebrate and Backyard Basics stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today.  This one is clean and simple, but I think it’s pretty.  Hope that you like it too!  The design is based on CAS(E) this Sketch #59 and the colors were inspired by The Paper Players #178.

Simply Celebrate - Stamp With Amy K

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Simply Celebrate stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Costal Cabana ink on a Whisper White panel.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help me with placement.

Then I traced along the edge of the plastic sheet from my Stamp-a-ma-jig with the fine point of my Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker and I created a thin border around the edge of the Whisper White panel.  I adhered the panel to a Coastal Cabana card stock panel with SNAIL, then to a Primrose Petals card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the tulip image from the Backyard Basics stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I colored the images with my Stampin’ Write Markers, cut them out with the matching Backyard Basics Framelits Dies and adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.  Don’t forget that you can purchase the Backyard Basics stamp set and matching Framelits Dies in a bundle and save 15% (wood mount and clear mount).

Simply Celebrate 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I finished the card front by adding a Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon bow over the flower stems, using a Glue Dot to adhere it.

To finish the inside of the card, I simply stamped the tulip image again in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Whisper White panel and I colored it with my Stampin’ Write Markers.

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. Amy
Hi there… saw your card on the Paper Players challenge and just had to come tell you how gorgeous it is. I”m sure it will be a winner. So simply yet elegant! hugs.

  2. What a lovely CAS design! Beautiful flowers, love how you placed them “upside down” – I would never have thought of that and it really does something to this card. I also like that there’s lots of white space and your card’s still very colorful and elegant.

  3. Amy, this card is simple elegance at its best! Those tulips are beautiful, especially being die-cut, and the ribbon and simple sentiment add just the right touch! Thanks for playing with my Paper Player colors this week!

  4. Amy, this is fabulous! At first, I thought the flowers were stamp directly but I love the textured look of the die. Great use of the sketch and your hand drawn border makes it a stand-out! So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!

  5. This is lovely, Amy! I love that the dies that coordinate with these stamps, and they look so pretty layered. A CAS beauty! Thanks for playing along with us this week at The Paper Players!
