I pulled out the Blessed Easter and Delightful Dozen stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create a clean and simple card to share with you today. My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #61 and the colors were inspired by Dynamic Duos #87.
Since I love the tulip images from the Blessed Easter stamp set and I wanted to be able to use the image for cards that were not just for Easter, I started this card by pulling out my scissors and chopping the stamp in two pieces!
I adhered the tulip image to one side of the wood block. And I adhered the sentiment to the other side. Now it’s ready to use for all types of cards!
Then I got rolling on my card. I started by using one of the Squares Collection Framelits Dies to cut a square from piece of scrap card stock. I put the negative panel from the die cut over my actual piece of card stock and sponged the opening with Melon Mambo ink.
Then I stamped the flower images from the Blessed Easter stamp set (wood mount only) twice in StazOn Jet Black Ink. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement.
I stamped the sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in StazOn Jet Black ink, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement, under the flowers.
Then I layered the stamped panel over a Basic Black panel, using SNAIL to adhere it. And I finished the card front by adhering the layered panel to the Melon Mambo card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tried out a few embellishments to “dress-up” the card front a little more, but after a few unsuccessful attempts, I thought it looked best just clean and simple. Hope that you like it too!
I finished the inside of the card by stamping the Blessed Easter tulip image again in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Whisper White panel, then coloring the tulips with my Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker.
