Baby, We’ve Grown Sweet Baby Boy Card – Stampin’ Up!

It’s day two of the second round of snow/ice/icky weather here in Atlanta so I thought that it was time to pull out the Baby, We’ve Grown stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a sweet, happy baby card to share with you today.  Maybe it will bring some sunshine our way!

I made this card for the Stamping & Blogging SB43 Sketch Challenge this week.  Be sure to check out what the other Design Team Members made with this sketch too, links to their blogs are below.

Baby, We've Grown 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I started by trimming two 1/2″ x 5-1/4″ strips from a sheet from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack.  I adhered the two thin strips to the back of a panel from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack, then to the Crumb Cake card base with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment and image from the Baby, We’ve Grown stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Whisper White panel, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement.  I colored the images with my Stampin’ Write Markers then punched it out with the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to a Circles Collection Framelits die cut from Coastal Cabana card stock.

Then I punched out several Banner Punches (Sale-a-bration item) from Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake DSP.  The DSP is from the 2013-15 In Colors DSP Stacks and the Neutrals DSP Stacks.  I adhered the Banner Punches to the back of the die cut circle with SNAIL, then adhered the entire stamped image to the card front with SNAIL.

I ran a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine across my Coastal Cabana ink pad, then tied it through a Crumb Cake button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons pack.  I finished the card front by adhering the button with a Glue Dot.

I used another thin strip from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack and a strip of Crumb Cake card stock to decorate the inside of the card.

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Members blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch:
