I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and the little “thx” die from the Circle Card Thinlits die set to create my card today.  My card design was inspired by Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 301 and the colors were inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments #179.

I started by cutting panels of Smoky Slate, Rose Red and Midnight Muse Core’dinations Card Stock (from the Neutrals, Regals and 2012-14 In Colors Core’dinations card stock packs) for the background.  I embossed the Rose Red panel with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder and the Midnight Muse panel with the Chevron Embossing Folder.

I sanded the three Core’dinations panels with the Stampin’ Sanding Block and adhered them to a Smoky Slate card base with SNAIL.  I stamped the image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) ink Smoky Slate, Rose Red and Midnight Muse inks on a Whisper White panel and I cut the panel three times with one of the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies.

I trimmed the three die cuts down a bit and adhered them to the card front with SNAIL, then cut the “thx” sentiment using the Circle Card Thinlits die from Midnight Muse, Rose Red and Smoky Slate Core’dinations Card Stock.  I adhered the sentiments to the card front with SNAIL.

I finished the card front by adhering two pieces of Silver Bakers Twine with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then tying Silver Baker’s Twine through a Smoky Slate button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons pack and adhering it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I stamped the image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set across the bottom of a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the card.
