Today I’m sharing a card that I made with the Vivid Vases and You’re Lovely stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  I created this card for Freshly Made Sketches 123 and I thought it would a perfect card to try to achieve the ombre effect.  The ombre effect is basically changing colors gradually, going from light to dark.

I started by stamping the Vivid Vases (wood only) image in VersaMark ink on Rose Red, Strawberry Slush, Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette card stock.

I sprinkled the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and I heat embossed them, then punched two 1″ Circle Punches from each panel of card stock.

I adhered the circle punches to a Whisper White panel with SNAIL, then stamped the sentiment from the You’re Lovely stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in Strawberry Slush ink on the opposite side of the panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Pink Pirouette card stock panel with SNAIL.

I wrapped a strand of Gold Baker’s Twine around the layered panel and tied a bow, then adhered the panel to a Strawberry Slush card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Vivid Vases image again across a Whisper White panel (with the help of my Stamp-a-ma-jig) in Strawberry Slush ink to complete the inside of the card.
