Petite Petals Picket Fence Card – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Petite Petals, Hardwood and A Dozen Thoughts stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create this card to share with you today.  It is very loosely based on Freshly Made Sketches 124 and CAS(E) this Sketch #65.

I started by adhering a panel of Soft Sky card stock to a Blushing Bride card base with SNAIL.  Then I stamped a Whisper White panel with the Hardwood (wood mount and clear mount) image in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

Hardwood - Stamp With Amy K

I cut the Hardwood stamped image into three 1″ strips and two 1/2″ strips.  I used my Paper Snips to cut the triangles at the top of the 1″ strips, then I sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink and adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.  I cut the two 1/2″ strips down to 4″ in length and sponged the edges with Sahara Sand ink.

A Dozen Thoughts - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in StazOn Jet Black Ink on one of the two strips, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement, then adhered the two strips to the card front with SNAIL.  I used my Fringe Scissors to edge a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock, sponged the fringe edge with a little Pear Pizzazz ink, then adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

Petite Petals 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped three Blushing Bride and three Pink Pirouette images with the Petite Petals stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) and I punched them out with the matching Petite Petals Punch.  I also punched eight branches from Pear Pizzazz card stock with the Bird Builder Punch and I layered and adhered them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added a Pearl Basic Jewel to the center of each flower to complete the card front.

Don’t forget that you can purchase the Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch in a bundle and save 15% (wood mount and clear mount).

Petite Petals 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I finished the inside of the card by stamping and punching the Petite Petals images again in Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette inks and adhering them with SNAIL to a Whisper White card base.

I had some time to play with the February My Paper Pumpkin kit yesterday.  You can check out my first bag on my Facebook page by clicking here.  Let me know what you think of it, the kits have definitely been stepped up a bit.

Okay, I’m off to go spend the day on a 2nd Grade field trip!  Should be lots of fun.  🙂

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. Amy, this would be a perfect ‘sympathy’ card as well. Love how you made the pickets look! Thanks for the ideas. Chris

  2. This is so pretty, both inside and out! You have perfected the picket fence… love how you woodgrain embossed. Thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
