CAS Hip Notes Banner Thanks – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Hip Notes stamp set and Banner Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up! to create a clean and simple thank you card today.  I love the font on this stamp and the arrow and dots are so cool!  My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #127.  I realized too late that I don’t have a single green item on my card for St. Patrick’s Day.  Does that mean that I’ll get a bunch of cyber pinches today??  🙂

I started by embossing a panel of Tangerine Tango card stock with the Arrows Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of So Saffron card stock with SNAIL, then to a Baked Brown Sugar card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a panel of Retro Fresh DSP to a Baked Brown Sugar card stock with SNAIL, then I adhered the layered panel to the card front with SNAIL.  I used by Envelope Punch Board to round the corners on both panels before adhering them together.

Hip Notes 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Hip Notes stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled it with Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered two very thin strips of Retro Fresh DSP with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue above the sentiment, then cut it out with the Banners Framelits Die.

Hip Notes 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then tied a piece of Gold Baker’s Twine through a Very Vintage Designer Button and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

***One quick tip for threading the Gold or Silver Baker’s Twine through small button holes:  Since that Baker’s Twine is thicker and unravels fairly easily, I discovered that if you add just a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the ends of the strand, squeeze it together and let it dry, it easily goes through the button holes without unraveling.  Then just snip the glued ends off before you finish your card.  The Silicone Craft Sheet works great for the gluing process, it protects your work area and the glue peels right off.

Retro Fresh DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I finished the card by adding a strip of Retro Fresh DSP and a strip of Baked Brown Sugar card stock to a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

  1. This card is fantastic! Definitely plan on CASE-ing. Love the details, especially the narrow strips of dsp and also the cool embossing. Nice, bright and cheerful card for such a dreary rainy day 🙂

  2. I really like the panel color combo – TT, so saffron and baked brown. Lovely card. And definitely sending you a cyber pinch 🙂
