Before I get to my card, I wanted to take a minute to introduce you to one of my downline team members who has recently started blogging…Heather Van Looy! Heather decorated and filled this fantastic little jar for me, I thought it was so cute! And her cards are simply beautiful!
Check out the yummy ingredients! It was some tasty soup. 🙂
I hope that you’ll take a minute to stop by Heather’s blog today, check out her cards, leave her a comment or two and subscribe! You can see Heather’s blog here: http://handcraftingwithheather.com/ You won’t be disappointed!!
For my card share today, I watercolored some images from the Peaceful Petals stamp set from Stampin’ Up! My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #106. I wanted to keep the background subtle so that the flowers would really pop on the card front so I did some white on vanilla embossing.
I started by stamping the branch image from the Peaceful Petals stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) on a Very Vanilla panel in VersaMark Ink. I sprinkled the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.
Then adhered the stamped panel to a Whisper White card base with SNAIL. I stamped the flower images from the Peaceful Petals stamp set in VersaMark in on a Very Vanilla panel and heat embossed the with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder as well.
I used my Aqua Painter and my Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron and Garden Green ink pads to watercolor the flower images. I let the panel try completely, then adhered it to a Whisper White panel, then the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Petals stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink on a Very Vanilla panel, punched the end with my Hexagon Punch to create the banner, then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a single Rich Razzleberry Candy Dot (from the Brights Candy Dots pack) next to the sentiment to finish the clean and simple look.
I stamped a single flower in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.
