Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration 2014 is ending today, so I had to do one last project with the fabulous Sweet Sorbet DSP to share with you today.  I also used the Best of Flowers stamp set, which is only available through today too!  Be sure to check out the details below so that you don’t miss out on any of the great deals ending today.

My card design was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches #129 and by The Paper Players #189.

For the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge, my card is: Birthday, Patterned Paper, Any shade of blue

I started by embossing a panel of Summer Starfruit card stock with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (Sale-a-bration Item).  The panel is wider than the embossing folder, so I ran the panel through the Big Shot with about 3/4 of the panel inside the folder, then I moved the panel so that the other 1/4 was inside the folder and I ran it back through again.  The was a little seam left, but it would be hidden by the DSP panel.  After embossing the card stock, I adhered it to a Basic Black panel, then to a Sahara Sand card base with SNAIL.

I layered a panel of Sweet Sorbet DSP (Sale-a-bration Item) over a Basic Black panel, then adhered the layered panel to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the image from the Best of Flowers stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a Sahara Sand panel, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Penned stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink on the Sahara Sand panel, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Basic Black card stock panel, then to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the daisy images from the Best of Flowers stamp set in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Whisper White panel and I colored them with my Stampin’ Write Markers.  I punched the images out with my 1-1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I punched three branches with the Bird Builder Punch from Pistachio Pudding card stock and adhered them under the flowers with just a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I added three small Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of each flower, then made an envelope for the card using the Envelope Punch Board and a sheet of Summer Starfruit DSP from the 2012-14 In Color DSP Stacks.

I adhered a leftover scrap of the Sweet Sorbet DSP to a strip of Sahara Sand card stock, then to a Whisper White panel to compete the inside of the card.
