Raspberry Ripple So Very Grateful – Stampin’ Up!

It suddenly occurred to me that Stampin’ Up!’s 2012-14 In Colors will likely be going away in just a few short weeks!  The retiring list will officially be posted by Stampin’ Up! on Monday, April 21 (and I’ll put a link to it on my blog) and anything on that list will be available only while supplies last.  So now is a good time to stock up on those outgoing In Colors (if that makes sense!!) that you love.  Once items hit the retiring list, the fly off the warehouse shelves.  Ink refills and card stock always seem to be the first things to go too.

So I pulled out some Raspberry Ripple card stock and DSP for my card today.  My card design was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments #182.

I started by adhering a panel of Raspberry Ripple DSP from the 2012-14 In Color DSP Stacks to a panel of Pink Pirouette card stock, then to a Raspberry Ripple card base with SNAIL.

Then I cut a scalloped circle from Pink Pirouette card stock with the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die (on sale through April 7 for 25% off) and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the sentiment from the Gifts of Kindness stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink on a Raspberry Ripple panel, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and adhered it over the scalloped circle with SNAIL.

So Very Grateful 2 - Stamp With Amy K

Then I stamped the image from the So Very Grateful stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink on a Raspberry Ripple panel, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I used my Aqua Painter and Whisper White Craft Stampin’ Ink and I whitewash painted the flower image.  You can see a photo tutorial for the whitewash technique on my tutorial page here.  Once the image had dried, I colored it with my Old Olive and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Markers, rounded the corners with my Envelope Punch Board, adhered it to a panel of Pink Pirouette card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

So Very Grateful - Stamp With Amy KI cut two little strips from Old Olive (from the Brights DSP Stacks) and Pink Pirouette (from the Subtles DSP Stacks) DSP and punched the ends with the Hexagon Punch to create the banners.  I adhered them to the card front with SNAIL, then tied a piece of Silver Baker’s Twine through an Old Olive Button from the Brights Designer Buttons pack (you can get those free with an order through my online store this month, see the information below!) and adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot.  I finished the card front by adhering three Pearl Basic Jewels under the sentiment.

So Very Grateful 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the image from the So Very Grateful stamp set in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Whisper White panel then coloring it with my Stampin’ Write Markers.
