Make a Cake With the In Colors & New Weekly Deals from Stampin’ Up!

I used the Make a Cake and Create a Cupcake stamp sets along with the retiring 2012-14 In Colors to create a card to share with you today.  My card design was inspired by Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #164.  The twist this week is a Sweet Tooth.  I hope all of that cake is sweet enough!!

I started by adhering a panel of Raspberry Ripple card stock to a Gumball Green card base with SNAIL.  I adhered a panel of Birthday Basics DSP to a panel of Gumball Green card stock with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panel to the card front with SNAIL.

Make A Cake 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the images from the Make a Cake stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Crisp Cantaloupe, Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Bermuda Bay and Summer Starfruit inks on a Whisper White panel.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement of the images and, because I wanted several of the images to be shorter than the actual stamp, I used a sticky note to mask off the area and stamped the images over it.

Make A Cake 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched the images out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and layered them over Raspberry Ripple circles that I’d cut with one of the Circles Collection Framelits Dies.  I adhered a panel of Summer Starfruit card stock to a panel of Gumball Green card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I adhered the stamped images to the Summer Starfruit panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Create a Cupcake stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Gumball Green ink on a Whisper White panel, punched it out with the Word Window Punch and adhered it to a Modern Label Punch from Gumball Green card stock.  I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with SNAIL, then added four Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish it.

Birthday Basics DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the Birthday Basics DSP to a strip of Gumball Green card stock, then to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

Now that you’ve seen my card, be sure to stop by the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday blog to see the other Design Team Member’s cards.  Hope that you’ll play along too!
