Six-Sided Sampler Hello – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Six-Sided Sampler and Four You stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create a springtime hello card to share today.  My card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday #342 sketch.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Four You stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Gingham Garden DSP (retiring).  I sprinkled the sentiment with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it, then adhered the panel to a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock with SNAIL and to a Daffodil Delight card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a wide strip of Gingham Garden DSP to a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I adhered a strip of Delicate Details Lace Tape (retiring) across the card front, then punched the corners of a small square of Pear Pizzazz card stock with the Envelope Punch Board and embossed it with the Scallops Embossing Folder and adhered it with SNAIL over the Lace Tape.

Papillon Potpourri - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image from the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heat embossed it and punched it out with the matching Hexagon Punch.  I colored the image with my Stampin’ Write Markers, then layered it over a hexagon that I’d cut from Daffodil Delight card stock.  I adhered the layered image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

You can purchase the Six-Sided Sampler and Hexagon Punch in a bundle and save 15% (wood mount and clear mount), the stamp set and punch will be available in the 2014-15 Annual Catalog but the bundle price is retiring in June and is only available while supplies last.  So if you like this set and want the 15% discount be sure to get it soon!

Four You - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Daffodil Delight card stock panel, punched it out with the matching Bitty Butterfly Punch and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the card front.  I added three radomly placed Rhinestone Basic Jewels to complete the card front.

I stamped the butterfly image from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink on a Whisper White panel several times without reinking it to complete the inside of the card.

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. What a pretty card, Amy! Everything pulls together so nicely! LOVE how you embossed then colored the six-sided hexagon!!

  2. I have both of these stamp sets, but I haven’t broken them out yet. I’m going to have to do that very soon. I also love how you used the butterfly stamp on the inside. Very lovely how you stamped them off to give added dimension. Nice work.

  3. This is a great way to use up some Gingham Garden scraps. Everything about this card is sweet and I especially like your hexagon treatment. Another pretty one, Amy!

  4. Love this card. Has a lot going on but still looks clean and simple. Layout could be used to lots of other sentiments as well. Nice job.

  5. Wow, your hexagon just pops out – so beautifully created and I love the way the butterfly is next to the flowers in the hexagon too! Such a little detail with a huge impact. 🙂

PS: isn’t it hard to use some of the discontinuing stuff when we know we can’t replace it? I’m having a hard time using the lace tape, lol!
