Hip Notes Thank You – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Hip Notes stamp set and a little Retro Fresh DSP from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.  My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #134.

I started by embossing a Very Vanilla panel with the Arrows Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a Baked Brown Sugar card base with SNAIL.

Hip Notes 1 - Stamp With Amy KThen I stamped the sentiment from the Hip Notes stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Baked Brown Sugar ink on a strip of Retro Fresh DSP and I adhered that DSP strip to the card front with SNAIL.  I cut a half circle from Baked Brown Sugar card stock with one of the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

Hip Notes 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut a half circle from Retro Fresh DSP with the Starburst Framelits die and I adhered it over the Baked Brown Sugar half circle with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a thin strip of Baked Brown Sugar card stock to the card front with SNAIL.

Hip Notes 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I wrapped a strip of Gold Baker’s Twine around the card front twice and tied a bow, then adhered random sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added a few Pearl Basic Jewels to complete the embellishments.

I adhered a strip of Retro Fresh DSP to a strip of Baked Brown Sugar card stock, then to a Very Vanilla panel with SNAIL to complete the inside of the card.

  2. Amy, you picked some great colors for your card! There is that Baked Brown Sugar (lol), that just pulls everything in. Great dsp choice too. I cannot wait to copy this one too, just love the way your card says THANKS with such “retro style”!
