I was so happy to see the Vivid Vases stamp carried over into the 2014-15 Stampin’ Up! catalog.  I used that image along with a little Modern Medley DSP to make my card to share today.  My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #113.

By the way, I shared a couple of pictures on my Facebook page yesterday of the goodies that my fabulous UPS guy left for me.  Head over there to see lots of sneak peeks at new catalog goodies!!  🙂

I started by adhering a panel of Modern Medley DSP (retiring) to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  Then I adhered the layered panel to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Hexagon Punch to create the banner end on a strip of Modern Medley DSP, then I adhered the strip to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the Vivid Vases image in VersaMark Ink on a Very Vanilla panel (say that three times fast!!), sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed the image.  Then I used my Aqua Painter and Bermuda Bay ink pad to paint the flower images.  I let the panel dry completely and adhered it to a Basic Black card stock panel with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a piece of Silver Baker’s Twine through a Bermuda Bay button from the Brights Designer Buttons pack, then adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I adhered a strip of Modern Medley DSP to a Very Vanilla panel to complete the inside of the card.
