Dotty Angles Hello – Stampin’ Up!

I had a little fun playing with the Dotty Angles Photopolymer stamp set from Stampin’ Up! today.  I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the polka dot images, something that I’ve never tried before with a photopolymer stamp.  It doesn’t give the nice, clean look like a regular ink pad would, but I thought the watercolor effect was sort-of neat.  Hope that you like it too!

The colors for my card were inspired by The Paper Players #204.

And the design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #84.

I started by coloring the image from the Dotty Angles photopolymer stamp set with my Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon and Wisteria Wonder Stampin’ Write Markers.  I stamped the image across a panel of Whisper White.

Then I inked up my sentiment from the Hi There stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink and I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help me stamp the sentiment above the Dotty Angles image.  Then I inked up the sentiment in Wisteria Wonder ink and I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig again to help me stamp the image a second time slightly offset from the original image.

Hi There 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I colored the Dotty Angles image again with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it above the sentiment (no Stamp-a-ma-jig needed since you can see through the stamp!).  Then I colored a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my Dark Wisteria Wonder Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker and I placed them randomly through the polka dots.

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock with SNAIL, then to a Wisteria Wonder card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I repeated the Dotty Angles image again on a Whisper White panel inside the card, this time I just inked it up with my Wisteria Wonder ink pad.

  1. Fun card! I like the effect of the markers on the photopolymer. And the scattered rhinestones add a lot of fun to the card, too. Great use of the colors. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players.

  2. I love your multi-coloured confetti Amy and especially like the shadow created by the offset sentiment. Great use of the colours with the sketch too! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!

  3. Amy, love your shadow stamped card. Great way to combine both challenges! I love the repetition of the dots and the white space that you left to let them shine. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week

  4. Really like the watercolor effect you’ve got going on with your card. Looks like so much fun and a truly happy “hello” that will have the person smiling, just like us 🙂
