Happy Stampers Annual Catalog Blog Hop, Blog Candy & New Weekly Deals from Stampin’ Up!

The Happy Stampers are doing a little blog hop today featuring items from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  Be sure to stop by all of our blogs and leave a quick comment, we’re all offering some blog candy too!

I wanted to send a little something to my downline team members this week so I decided to create some cards and gift bags for them.  Since I was creating several of each, I kept the designs fairly simple.  I used the Beautiful Bunch and So Very Happy stamp sets for my cards and the Skinny Mini Alphabet and Another Thank You stamp sets for my gift bags.

Beautiful Bunch Skinny Mini Another Thank You - Stamp With Amy K

I’ll start with the details about the card.

Beautiful Bunch - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the My Favorite Things MFTWSC185.

I started by adhering a panel of Blackberry Bliss DSP from the 2014-16 In Color DSP Stacks to a Whisper White panel with SNAIL, then I wrapped a strand of Coastal Cabana Thick Baker’s Twine Around the panel and tied a little bow on the front.  Then I adhered the panel to a Coastal Cabana card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Beautiful Bunch 3 - Stamp With Amy K

Then I stamped the solid flower images from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set in Hello Honey ink on a Whisper White panel, then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the second flower image over the first one in Blackberry Bliss ink.  I punched the flowers out with the Fun Flower Punch, curled the petals slightly with my Bone Folder, adhered them together in the center with SNAIL, then to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the solid flower image again in Hello Honey ink and stamped the second flower over the image with Calypso Coral ink , punched the center with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

Beautiful Bunch 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the So Very Happy stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on a Whisper White strip, punched the end with the Hexagon Punch and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I punched the little flowers from Hello Honey, Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral card stock with the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of each.

Beautiful Bunch 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set again in Coastal Cabana ink on a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the cards.

Polka Dot Gift Bags and Tag a Bag Kit - Stamp With Amy K

For the gift bags, I started by stamping the sentiment from the Another Thank You photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on the Polka Dot Gift Bags.  I sprinkled the image with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it, then adhered flower punches from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack with Glue Dots.  I added a little Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the flower centers too.

Then for the tags, I used the pieces from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit and I stamped my team members names with the Skinny Mini Alphabet photopolymer stamp set.  I added a few more flower punches and rhinestones, tucked the little gift inside and tied the bags shut with the string from the kit.  I do hope that they’ll enjoy their little treats…they’re going out in the mail today so don’t tell them that you got to see the gift bags before they did!  😉
