I used the Be the Star stamp set to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging SB65 Sketch Challenge today. I also used the Stars Decorative Mask to stencil the background, the masks are so much fun to use!
I started by sponging the stars in Night of Navy ink on a Night of Navy card stock panel with the Stars from the Hearts & Stars Decorative Masks set. Then I adhered the sponged panel to a panel from the Gold Foil Sheets with SNAIL. I cut a strip from the Gold Foil Sheet, punched the end with the Hexagon Punch and adhered it to the sponged panel with SNAIL.
Then I wrapped a strip of Gold 1/8″ Ribbon around the panel, adhering it with SNAIL. I adhered the layered panel to a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set in VersaMark ink on a Coastal Cabana panel, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I punched the end of the panel with the Hexagon Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to the card front.
I stamped the star image from the Be the Star stamp set in VersaMark ink on a Night of Navy panel, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I cut the star image out with the matching Stars Framelits Die and adhered it with SNAIL to a 2″ Circle Punch from Coastal Cabana card stock that I’d pierced with the template from the Essentials Piercing Pack. I adhered the circle to a Starburst Framelits die cut from Gold Foil Sheets, then adhered the layered image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I punched three stars with the punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack from Gold Foil Sheets and adhered them to the card front with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then added four of the Coastal Cabana star sequins from the 2013-15 In Color Sequin Assortment.
I stamped the star images from the Be the Star stamp set in Night of Navy ink across a Whisper White panel to complete the card.
