I’ve recently acquired a few more feet of space in my little stamping area so I’ve redone a bit of my storage. I thought that I’d share some of the storage ideas with you since we’re all short on space to store our many stamping supplies. 🙂
I gained a few square feet on the right side of my stamping table so I added more of the Kallax (formerly Expedit) shelving units from Ikea. This time I wanted shelving that was close to table height so that I could store some of my commonly used items on it. I purchased a 4-cube and an 8-cube unit (placed the 8-cube unit on its side) and added some doors and drawers to 4 of the cubes.
I redid my paper storage after seeing a video that Jennfier McGuire created and I love it! It’s very inexpensive and it keeps all of my paper within quick reach.
For my 8-1/2″ x 11″ paper, I store the paper by color family in a magazine holder that is turned on its side. I purchased the Like It Magazine Files from The Container Store and I have one for each of my color families, one for the In Colors and one for specialty paper like Vellum, Naturals card stock, Shimmery White, etc.
To keep my card stock together, I purchased 9″ x 12″ Job Ticket Holders (you can find them at any office supply store, I got mine at Office Depot) and I trimmed the ends with the loop off. I added a label that I printed with a label maker for each color. I love that I can store a full pack of 8-1/2″ x 11″ paper plus scraps in each folder!
For my 12″ x 12″ paper storage, I purchased the Cropper Hopper Paper Holders and the Cropper Hopper Dividers that fit inside the Paper Holders. I added labels for the paper types that I created with the label maker on these folders too.
For my Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers, I purchased two of the deflect Desk Cube with X Dividers. As my marker collection grows, I can add more of the cubes and they clip together to keep them as one unit.
I got a new, larger Linnmon Table Top from Ikea and I reused the legs that I had from my smaller table. I’ve got a simple clamp-on lamp with an extending arm to light up my work space.
This is a photo of the other side of my work area where I store my punches, stamps and ribbon. I did a more detailed blog post about those storage pieces awhile ago and you can check that out here.
And finally here is my “fabulous” photo studio. 😉 It’s simply two sheets of 12×12 white card stock, a sheet of glass that I removed from an 11×14 frame and two Ott Lites.
I love my new paper storage system. It keeps everything so neat and accessible, plus it takes up much less room than my old system did. I hope that you find the storage solutions helpful. And I’d like to say a huge thank you to Kimberly L. for forwarding me the video that Jennifer McGuire created. It gave me so may great storage ideas that I’d never thought about!

Thanks for sharing a visit to your stamping space. I am envious of your organization.
Thanks Terri! If I don’t keep my stuff organized, I can’t find a thing. My brain doesn’t do well with disorganization. 😉
What a great space Amy. I am so happy that you have such
large space to create. I love organization and you just gave me a few new ideas. Thanks
Thanks Kristi! I was so happy to gain a few more square feet so that I could expand my storage a bit. 🙂
I love the ideas on storing the cardstock! Thanks for sharing, it looks more handy than the way I’ve been doing it. I can’t wait to use these great ideas! Great room! Thanks, Amy!
I’m glad that you found the storage tips useful! I’m loving this new set up. 🙂
Wow, love your crafting space! You have wonderful lighting. My space is light challenged 😉 sometimes the color creations I come up with late at night don’t always look the best in daylight, lol! I’m loving your paper organizing and the blendabilities storage, thank you for the awesome links! Fantastic storage ideas, thank you for sharing them Amy 🙂
Just saw the clamp on lamp your using, that looks perfect!
The clamp on lamp has a daylight bulb in it and that makes a huge difference in the lighting. The lighting in the room is terrible, so I had to add quite a bit to make it work!
Thanks Jill! I’m glad that you found the ideas useful! 🙂
I love your storage ideas, but I could not find the Cropper Hopper paper dividers and holders. I click on it but that website doesn’t exist anymore. Do you know where else I could find these?
Thanks,
Deborah Alvarez
Thanks for letting me know about that Diane, I just sent you an email with a few stores that I found with the dividers and holders in stock.
