Quick Masculine Watercolor Thank You – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Watercolor Thank You and Work of Art stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create a quick masculine thank you card to share today.

Watercolor Thank You - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Seize the Sketch #25.

And by CAS-ual Fridays CFC143.  I used chevrons, white and twine for my card.

I started by embossing a panel of Early Espresso card stock with the Zig Zag Embossing folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL.

Then I inked up the chevron image from the Work of Art stamp set in Early Espresso ink, stamped it off on scrap paper once, then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I repeated that process with the Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand inks with the same image.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Watercolor Thank You stamp in Night of Navy ink over the chevron images.

I used the corner rounder punch from the Envelope Punch Board to round the top corners of the stamped panel, then I adhered it with SNAIL to a panel of Night of Navy card stock that I’d also punched with the Envelope Punch Board.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with SNAIL.

I ran SNAIL across the center of the card, then ran SNAIL down a length of Night of Navy 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon.  I gather the ribbon together and stuck it to itself, then to the SNAIL across the center of the card to create the ruffled ribbon look.  I tied Early Espresso Baker’s Twine through through two Basic Metal Buttons and I adhered them to the panel with Glue Dots.  Then I adhered the completed panel to a Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the chevron image from the Work of Art stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a Whisper White panel, then i stamped the image again without reinking the stamp right above it to complete the inside of the card.

  1. Hello,

Have you changed the way/format of your posts are emailed? I sued to get them with the picture of your card but now the emails appear to be mostly lines of URLs.

    • Sorry that the pictures are not coming through, as far as I know, nothing has changed. I send my posts to my email every day and the pictures are coming through. I wonder if something has changed in your email settings?

  2. What great colors you used! The ombre and the pop of night of navy seam binding along with the thank you sentiment give your card that oomph. And the button embellishments add just the right touch 🙂 Great masculine card, which we always need! Thanks Amy 😉

  3. Ohhhh I love the ombre stamping! Such a great masculine design, Amy! Glad you were inspired to create with us at Seize the Sketch 🙂
