I used the Flamingo Lingo stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for the Stamping & Blogging SB67 Sketch Challenge. Be sure to check out the links below to see what the other design team members have created with this sketch too!
I started by stamping the flower image from the Flamingo Lingo stamp set in Crisp Cantaloupe and Hello Honey inks on a Hello Honey card stock panel. I adhered the panel to a panel of Crisp Cantaloupe with SNAIL, then added a narrow panel of Lullaby DSP to one side, using SNAIL to adhere it as well.
Then I inked up the flamingo image from the Flamingo Lingo stamp set with Crisp Cantaloupe ink and I used a Blender Pen to remove the ink from the legs and beak. I colored the legs and beak with my Hello Honey Stampin’ Write Marker and I stamped the image on a Whisper White panel, cut it out with a Circles Collection Framelits die, adhered it to a Crisp Cantaloupe card stock circle cut with an Circles Collection Framelits die, then adhered the layered circles to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the scalloped oval image from the Flamingo Lingo stamp set in Crisp Cantaloupe ink on a Whisper White panel, punched it out with the Scallop Oval Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to the card front. I colored the sentiment from the Flamingo Lingo stamp set with my Hello Honey and Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it on a Whisper White panel, cut it out with the matching Bitty Banners Framelits die and adhered it to the scallop oval punch with SNAIL.
I wrapped Baked Brown Sugar Thick Baker’s Twine around the panel twice and tied a bow near the sentiment, then I adhered the panel to a Baked Brown Sugar card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to complete the card front.
I inked up the flamingo image as described above a second time and I stamped it on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

Your colors work so wonderfully with this stamp set, your flamingo is perfectly set up and pulls the eye into your card. I’m not the best with words, but it does flow beautifully, just as Lee said 🙂 I too haven’t gotten this set yet, but you make the best cards with it, it is getting harder to resist 😉
Thanks Jill, I think that you “need” this set too! 😉
