A Non-traditional Holiday Home Card & New Weekly Deals from Stampin’ Up!

I had some fun playing with the new Holiday Home stamp set and matching Homemade Holiday Framelits Dies from the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  I used the little ghost from this set for my card yesterday, but today I created a little winter scene.

Holiday Home - Stamp With Amy K

The design for my card was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #88.

I started by stamping the tree image from the White Christmas photopolymer stamp set (available Aug 28) in StazOn Jet Black ink on a Whisper White panel.  Then I stamped the little snowman image from the Holiday Home photopolymer stamp set (available Aug 28) in StazOn Jet Black in on the same panel.  I added a little Dazzling Details to the tree image and under the snowman image, then set the panel aside to dry.

***One little note when using StazOn inks with photopolymer stamps:  Stampin’ Up! has stated that StazOn inks are okay to use with photopolymer stamp sets, just make sure that you do not clean photopolymer stamps with StazOn Cleaner as it will break down the stamps.  Just use your regular Stampin’ Mist Stamp Cleaner and your photopolymer stamps will work beautifully for you for a long time.

Holiday Home 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the two house images in StazOn Jet Black on a Whisper White panel.  Then I stamped the little wreaths on the front doors in Pear Pizzazz ink and added some Strawberry Slush ink with my Stampin’ Write Marker for the berries.  I stamped the little string of lights in Pear Pizzazz and Strawberry Slush inks on the houses, then colored the other accents with my Stampin’ Write Markers.

Holiday Home 3- Stamp With Amy K

I cut the houses out with the Homemade Holiday Framelits Dies (available Aug 28) and adhered the taller house with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the shorter house with SNAIL to the Whisper White panel.

Holiday Home 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Home stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink and colored the scarf on the snowman with my Stampin’ Write Markers, adhered the decorated panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panel to a Pear Pizzazz card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Holiday Home 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the string of lights image from the Holiday Home stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink across a Whisper White panel on the inside of the card.  This little set of stamps and dies is so cute and I can’t wait to use it again!  I love that it’s got fall, Halloween and Christmas images so you can use if for lots of different cards.

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. I so like the way you combined the sets to make the landscape with the trees and houses. It really gives your card dimension. Along with those cute lights you added, awesome details 🙂 My wish list keeps getting longer and longer 😉 I just love to see what you come up with!

  2. Wonderful take on the sketch–I love the placement of the houses!
Thanks so much for joining us at CASE this sketch!
