More sneak peeks to share today! I used the beautiful stamp set called Ornamental Pine from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2014 Holiday Catalog for my card share today. I liked the first card that I made with the Stamping and Blogging SB69 sketch so well that I ended up making two! 🙂
For the card with the plaid background, I started by adhering a panel from the Trim the Tree DSP Stack (available Aug 28) to a panel of Garden Green card stock with SNAIL, then I adhered the layered panel to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I inked up the pine needle end of the image from the Ornamental Pine stamp set (available Aug 28) in Garden Green ink, then used my Blender pen to remove a little of the ink over the branch area and I colored the branch with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. I stamped the image on a panel of Whisper White card stock.
I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the two pinecones in Early Espresso ink on the Whisper White panel. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Garden Green card stock with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Ornamental Pine stamp set in VersaMark ink on a strip of Garden Green card stock, sprinkled it with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I punched the end with the Hexagon Punch to create the banner, adhered it to the card front with SNAIL, then added a Cherry Cobbler Candy Dot (from the Regals Candy Dots pack) to finish it.
I stamped the sentiment from the Ornamental Pine stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card, then added a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock and a strip of Trim the Tree DSP to finish it.
I used the same process to create this card, I just switched the background paper for another one in the Trim the Tree DSP stack and I reversed the background card stock colors.
Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Members blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.
