Seasonally Scattered Thanks and Merry Cards – Stampin’ Up!

Sandi MacIver and I are teaming up to bring you some card ideas for the Seasonally Scattered stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  So once you take a peek at my projects, be sure to stop by her blog for more great ideas with this stamp set.

Seasonally Scattered - Stamp With Amy K

My first card was inspired by the CAS(E) this Sketch #94.

I used the baby wipe technique to create this card (thanks so much to Sandi MacIver for reminding me about this fun technique!!) and I’ve put together a quick photo tutorial to show you how I created my card.  You can see it here on my Tutorials page.  It’s really simple, fun and a little messy too!

And just so you know, I’ve updated the look of my Tutorials page.  Everything is still there, I just made it easier to navigate.  Drop by and take a peek and let me know what you think!  🙂

Seasonally Scattered 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze ink refills for the ink colors and a baby wipe to stamp the sentiment from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set on a Whisper White panel.  Once I had the image stamped (see my tutorial here), I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock with SNAIL.

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice, then tied a leaf from the Autumn Wooden Elements pack to the card front.  I adhered the layered panel to a Mossy Meadow card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a strip of Color Me Autumn DSP to a strip of Mossy Meadow card stock, then to a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the card.

Seasonally Scattered 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the baby wipe to create several cards with the same sentiment.  Some vertical and some horizontal.

I was having so much fun creating with this stamp set that I made a second card!  I went with a holiday themed version this time.

My second card was inspired by the Mojo Monday 365 Tall & Skinny challenge.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a Smoky Slate panel.  I sprinkled the image with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL.

I adhered a panel of All is Calm Specialty DSP with SNAIL to the Whisper White panel next to the sentiment, then adhered the layered panel to a Soft Sky card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered three strips of All is Calm DSP with SNAIL that I’d punched with the Hexagon Punch to create banners to the card front.

I adhered an All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishment with a rolled up Glue Dot over the banners, then tied a bow from Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Silky Taffeta Ribbon and I adhered it with a Glue Dot as well.  I added three Frosted Sequins with just a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them to finish the card front.

  1. haha, that’s pretty funny, we both used the same technique on the card and the same embellishments, I told you we shared a brain stem, LOL and your Holiday card is beautiful too!…

  2. Thank you for reminding me about this technique! My 11 year old son decided he wants to make some cards, I love how this turned out on your card with this awesome stamp, so I know he will too 🙂 you picked great colors and such beautiful layers!

    • Thanks Linda! Sandi and I do laugh a lot about how many times we end up with projects that look so similar even though we never talked about it! Join in the fun with us any time. 😉
