The Happy Stampers group is doing another blog hop! The theme for this hop is Halloween or Thanksgiving. Once you’ve checked out my projects, be sure to hop around the circle to see what the other group members have created. Be sure to leave a quick comment on each blog, we’re all offering some blog candy too!
I used the Fall Fest stamp set and Fun Fall Framelits Dies from Stampin’ Up! to create my Thanksgiving inspired projects.
My card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday 368 sketch.
I started the card by adhering a panel of Color Me Autumn DSP to a panel of Cajun Craze card stock with SNAIL. Then I adhered the layered panel to a Baked Brown Sugar card base with SNAIL. I added a piece of 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon to the card front, using Fast Fuse Adhesive to adhere it.
I inked up the Hardwood stamp with Soft Suede ink, stamped it once on scrap paper, then stamped it on a panel of Baked Brown Sugar card stock. I stamped the sentiment from the For All Things stamp set in Cajun Craze ink over the Hardwood image, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Cajun Craze card stock with SNAIL.
I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel three times, then tied a bow. I adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I inked up the pumpkin images from the Fall Fest stamp set in Cajun Craze and Soft Suede inks. Then I took a sponge dauber and removed a little of the ink from the stamps around the edges of the two smaller pumpkins and I used a second sponge dauber to add a little Soft Suede ink to the edges. I stamped the images on Very Vanilla card stock and cut them out with the Fun Fall Framelits Dies. I adhered the two larger pumpkins to the card front with SNAIL and the smallest pumpkin with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I finished the inside of the card by adhering a strip of Color Me Autumn DSP to a strip of Baked Brown Sugar card stock, then to a Very Vanilla panel with SNAIL.
I saw a cute idea for a similar treat holder that was created by Heidi Baks. I loved that she used the Petite Purse Bigz L Die to create a basket. For my treat holder, I cut a panel of Baked Brown Sugar card stock with the Petite Purse Bigz Die and I cut what would be the top flap off with my Paper Snips.
I used Post-It Notes to mask the side panels of the die cut, the I inked up the Hardwood image in Soft Suede Ink, stamped it off once on scrap paper, then stamped it over the die cut. I switched the masks so that they covered the main part of the die cut and I stamped the side panels in the same way. I also stamped the little strip for the handle with the Hardwood image.
I adhered the treat holder together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then I inked up the pumpkin images from the Fall Fest stamp set the same way that I’d inked them for the card and I stamped them on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock. I cut the images out with the Fun Fall Framelits Dies and adhered them to the front of the treat holder with the smallest one popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the And Many More stamp set in Cajun Craze ink on a Very Vanilla panel and I cut it out with a Bitty Banners Framelits Die. I tucked the sentiment banner behind the small pumpkin and I adhered it with SNAIL. Then I tied a little bow with Linen Thread around the handle and I filled the box with treats.
