I used the Letterpress Winter stamp set and some of the Under the Tree Specialty DSP from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today. My design was inspired by a card that I saw in the 2014 Holiday Catalog, but I changed the colors and designer papers to give it a different look.
I started by adhering a panel of Under the Tree Specialty DSP to a Sahara Sand card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I adhered two strips of All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape to the card front.
I stamped the frame from the Letterpress Winter photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a White Vellum panel, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.
Quick tips for embossing on vellum: Wipe your Stampin’ Buddy over the entire area before you begin stamping, it will decrease the number of stray flecks of embossing powder that stick where you don’t want them to. When you’re using your Heat Tool, be sure that the tool is heated up before you point it at your image to emboss it. And be sure to keep the Heat Tool moving quickly around the vellum to decrease the curling of the vellum.
I stamped the sentiment from the Letterpress Winter stamp set in VersaMark Ink inside the frame and heat embossed it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I let the vellum cool completely, then added touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue behind some of the wider image and I adhered the panel to a panel of Under the Tree Specialty DSP. I used a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the layered Vellum panel to the card front.
I tied a bow with Silver Baker’s Twine and adhered it to the vellum panel with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then I adhered three silver sequins from the Frosted Sequins pack, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.
I wrapped a strand of All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape around a Whisper White panel and I adhered it inside the card.

Thanks Jill! Good luck with your embossing, vellum curls a little no matter what you do. But if you make sure that the heat tool is hot and keep it moving quickly, it curls a lot less. 🙂
