My little blog is turning 2 years old today! I can hardly believe it, I never dreamed that when I started my blog that I’d have met so many great people online or that I’d have so many faithful followers. It makes me smile every morning when I press that publish button knowing that my post is being delivered to your inboxes. I want to say a big thank you to each and every one of you for making this such a fun “job”!! 🙂 I’ve got a little blog candy to share toward the bottom of this post so be sure to scroll down and check that out too!!
Okay, enough yapping…on to my card. I used the Seasonally Scattered and Four Feathers stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.
My card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday 370 sketch.
And the colors for my card were inspired by Pals Paper Arts 226.
I started by adhering two panels of the Color Me Autumn DSP to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL. Then, I used Sponge Daubers to ink up the sentiment from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set in Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede inks and I stamped it on a panel of Naturals Ivory card stock.
I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock that I’d punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch, then to the card front with SNAIL. I inked up the feather image from the Four Feathers stamp set with my Sponge Daubers and Soft Suede in Cajun Craze inks and stamped it on a panel of Naturals Ivory card stock.
I inked the image up again in Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede inks and stamped it on the same panel. I cut the images out with the Feathers Framelits Die, then cut a feather from Soft Suede card stock with the same die. I adhered the three feathers to the card front with SNAIL.
I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front twice and tied a bow. I adhered the card front to a Cajun Craze card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then finished off the card by adding a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel to one of the feathers.
I stamped the feather image again in Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze inks on a Naturals Ivory card stock panel inside the card.
You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

This is so pretty! I like your version of this sketch. I always enjoy how you decorate the inside of your cards too. That idea is rubbing off on me and now I am in the habit of doing that too. It really is a great touch! My favorite birthday treat is going to Red Lobster. I only get to go on my birthday because hubby doesn’t like to eat there. He takes me there as my birthday treat.
Happy ‘blog’ birthday to you! I am so pleased to have found your blog. Your cards always provide a seed of inspiration. And my favorite birthday treat is plain old cake and ice cream. Thanks, Amy, for all the work you put into your blog.
Any ice cream cake! Lol
HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY on your blog. Live all your cards and comments.
Happy Second Blog-iversary! and congratulations on being the most consistent blogger I follow! When I say consistent, I’m referring both to the fact that you post daily, and that your cards are consistently excellent! I usually read via email, but now that I’m at your site I remember how impressed I am with your “readability” — your blog is easy on the eyes! My favorite birthday treat is chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream…. mmm, I wouldn’t mind having some now!
Beautiful card! I read your blog everyday. I want to say thanks for sharing all your beautiful projects. Hmmmmm – my favorite birthday treat? I think it would be someone making me a Spaghetti dinner with garlic bread and salad. Dessert would be rhubarb pie.
Jenny
Happy blogiversary Amy! You have a great blog! I need to sit down one day and go through your archives to see all the goodness you created in the last two years 😉
I love Coldstone creamery cheesecake ice cream with chopped heath or butterfinger–can’t wait to get some next month!!! 🙂
Happy Bloggin’ Birthday! I love your posts each day!
Congratulations on 2 years I know it feels great!!! Having recently been introduced to your blog I have been renewed so to speak in my card making. A friend and I make cards for a local Gilda’s Club and often are in need of ideas and inspiration which you have provided. Thanks again and look forward each and everyday to see what beautiful creations will be in my email. By the way what birthday wouldn’t be complete without cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory!!!
Happy Blog-day, Amy! I love that you blog every day and share your creativity with us. And all your cards are so beautiful! Like…every single day! :). My very favorite birthday treat is Black Forest Cake. Hands down! Hope that YOU get a warm brownie with ice cream today!
I really like these colors together. My favorite birthday treat is chocolate cake with peanut butter icing (yummy). Happy blog birthday.
Congrats on 2 years!!! My Mom always made me an Angel Food Cake frosted with whipped cream and sliced strawberries on it. And, of course, ice cream. My FAVE is Vanilla Moose Tracks. Oh Yum! I miss my Mom!
Yet another gorgeous card! So sweet, Amy. Congrats on your 2 year blog birthday. Always a pleasure to open, see, be inspired. Thank you for your dedication.
My favorite birthday treat is going out to eat, celebrate, with family. I love so many sweets I can’t pick just one. Cake and ice cream is traditional.
Happy Blog Birthday to you!! I am so grateful that there are people like you who love to share their fabulous works of art with me (and others). Not all of us are as creative or have such neat ideas. You are what keeps us “mear mortals” going!! I’m not a big dessert person, but I agree with Terri – Red Lobster and I get there about as often as she does! Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy. Here’s to many more years inspiring us!
Happy Blog Birthday, Amy! Love that you shared it with two challenges combined into a lovely card! Thanks for including the PPA in your stamping fun this week! … and my favorite BD treat is ice cream, especially chocolate chip!! 🙂
I have your blog on my favorites list that I check everyday…and I love that you provide something new almost everyday. My favorite birthday treat would be cheesecake!
Congratulations. Not sure how I originally found you–but am so glad I did. Not only all the great daily ideas-but prompt answers when I have questions and lots of extra help. Best words to describe you–“exceeding expectations”. With the cooler weather at my birthday time–my favorite treat would be a hot berry cobble with ice cream. Growing up in warmer weather, I always got a home made lemon merinque pie from my grandmother–so much better than cake!
Happy Birthday–but the gift you give us daily of your time and talent is the real present! My favorite treat is not food, but the cards from family and friends, which is one reason I like making and sending to them!
Happy Birthday on your blog! I enjoy that you have a card every day and it never looks thrown together. Your blog is the first thing I look at when I turn on my computer each day. Favorite birthday treat is dinner at my favorite Asian restaurant. My husband doesn’t care much for the food so this is his treat for me. Only one month to go to have my favorite dinner!
Thanks for the chance to win such generous candy! Congratulations on your 2nd blog birthday..I am an avid reader
Perfect colors, beautiful card, I am a big fan of fall! Happy 2 years!!

Congrats on your 2 year Celebration!! I love waking up to see what is new with you and what awesome creation that you’ve come up with. Like today, a softly elegant card – so beautiful! That is definitely going in the “gotta do” board. I love the softly blended colors that are still strong and bring your card to wow!!!
My favorite treat for my birthday is to have a vanilla or buttery cream store bakery confection. Something simple for me, not hip on chocolate cake for my birthday. Growing up it was the best to have a store bought cake for your birthday to share with your friends.
Thanks for the chance to win and thanks so much for all the hard work that you do to keep your blog going, even during the hard days we all have. You are excellent!!! Take care & enjoy your treat today 🙂
Laughing together,
Jill
Happy Birthday wishes to you and your blog! You are so inspirational and creative–loveit! And what birthday would be complete without fresh Oregon marionberry pie (ala mode, of course)!
Happy Birthday!! Love everything about your beautiful card. The color combination works so well with the fall theme. My favorite has always been a triple fudge cake with chocolate gauche, topped with strawberries dipped in chocolate with a side of strawberry ice cream. But I have a very close second and one we can’t find here in Oregon: Italian Creme Cake and a side of butter pecan ice cream…hope, hope, hope someone makes me one for my birthday!!!
Happy 2nd Blog Birthday Amy! I look forward to reading your blog every morning. Your blog is the BEST for daily creative ideas. I am with you on enjoying warm brownies with ice cream! My birthday is the week after Thanksgiving and I’m going to splurge and get the decadent Chocolate Dream Layer Cake (chocolate cake with layers of chocolate and white chocolate mousse, all enrobed in chocolate ganache) from Junior’s Cheesecake. It’s so sinfully delicious!
Julie Teicher
Happy blog birthday!! Thanks for sharing your cards with us for the last 2 years! My favorite birthday treat is carrot cake with cream cheese frosting or just about anything chocolate! 🙂
Amy, first Congratulations on 2 years of blogging! Second, it was a complete Joy to CASE one of your cards yesterday! You certainly deserve the honor of being Featured Stamper on SCS! I Adore the way you finish your cards by bringing the outside to the inside; such wonderful inspiration! Thank you for sharing your talent with each of us~ My favorite birthday treat is Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing. It could be with or without ice cream; either way is yummy to my tummy!
Happy Blog Birthday! Sure have been enjoying your visits in my email. Always get inspired when you visit. I’ve got and love the Four Feathers Set and as I keep seeing the Seasonally Scattered used I’m thinking I need to purchase that before it goes away
Birthday Treats for me is if I don’t have to cook or clean up after for the day. I’m happy with fast food just to meet that small request of mine. However, most times I do managed to get an evening out.
Please keep on doing what your doing. Sometimes I need your little push to get me getting crafty!
Will you send out emails to the winners or must we remember to come check your blog?
Amy,
I absolutely love your cards and appreciate the clarity in which you write your instructions!
