Stampin’ Up! Making Spirits Bright Anniversary Card

I used the Making Spirits Bright and Holiday Invitation stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create an Anniversary Card to share with you today.  It does seem a little strange to use holiday stamp sets for an anniversary card, but I thought that they worked…let me know  what you think!

Making Spirits Bright - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday 372 sketch.

Screen Shot 2014-11-21 at 2.56.20 PMI started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then to a Pink Pirouette card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Making Spirits Bright 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a panel of Back to Black DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I adhered a panel of Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I colored a piece of Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon with my Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker and I wrapped it around the panel, adhering it with SNAIL.

Making Spirits Bright 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image of the glasses from the Making Spirits Bright stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and I colored it with my Blush Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker (from the Skin Tone Assortment pack).  I cut the image out with one of the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and I adhered it to a 2-1/2″ Circle Punch from Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered circles to the Glimmer Paper panel with Glue Dots, then added a little Dazzling Details Glitter Glue over the image.

I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Invitation stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White strip, then I colored in the letters with my Blush Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker.  I adhered the stamped strip to a strip of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then snipped the end of the sentiment strip at an angle and adhered the sentiment strip to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Teeny Tiny Wishes - Stamp With Amy K

I punched a row of hearts across the top of a Whisper White panel with Hearts Border Punch, then stamped the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and the hearts from the Something to Say stamp set in Pink Pirouette ink inside the card.

  1. Amy, the answer is YES, this set works for Anniversary cards too. I love the pink and black combo, the sparkles, and the big polka dots too. Great card!

  2. You are so clever Amy! You have so many details that make up your elegant looking and stunning 🙂 I’m going to take another look at this set, lol! Seriously, your card is a knockout!

  3. I posted a comment on this card yesterday from my tablet. It doesn’t appear here. I thought your champagne glasses and sentiment fit the anniversary card very well and the inside was the frosting on the cake.
