Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics Wishes Your Way

I used the new Butterfly Basics stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! 2105 Occasions Catalog to create my card to share today.

Butterfly Basics - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the CAS(E) this Sketch #104.

I started by inking the line image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink and I stamped it off once on scrap paper then stamped it across a Very Vanilla panel.  Then I inked up the honeycomb image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Soft Suede ink, stamped it off once and stamped it on the panel.  I repeated that process with the honeycomb image two additional times.

Butterfly Basics 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Soft Suede Ink over the honeycomb images.  Then I used the Stampin’ Pierce Mat, Paper-Piercing Tool and the scalloped template from the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack to pierce a scalloped line across the panel.

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock with SNAIL, then tied a strand of Linen Thread around the panel.  I adhered the panel to a Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Butterfly Basics 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked up the small butterfly image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink, then used a Sponge Dauber to add a little Soft Suede ink around the edge.  I stamped the image on Very Vanilla card stock, punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I inked the image up a second time the same way and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional to finish the card front.

Butterfly Basics 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked up and sponged the butterfly image again on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

  1. Amy, this is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Such a stark contrast to the chaos felt around my house on Christmas Day. Thanks for sharing.

  2. When I make CAS cards, my mom will say, “I don’t like all that white space.” Ok, everyone can’t like every type of card, but for me, I just Love all this white space, Amy! Your pretty card base and matting cause the eye to be drawn right to the central images & sentiment plus all that surrounds them! A beautiful card indeed~
