I used two of the new Thinlits Dies sets from the Stampin’ Up! 2015 Occasions Catalog to create my card to share today. I also used some of the awesome new Irresistibly Yours DSP from the Sale-a-bration brochure for the background. I love this new paper!
I started by sponging a panel of the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 6) with Soft Suede ink. I wiped the excess ink from the embossed leaf pattern, then adhered the sponged panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL, then to a Blushing Bride card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut the sentiment out with the Hello You Thinlits Dies (available Jan 6) from Very Vanilla card stock. I used my Brayer and Soft Suede ink to add a little color to the die cut, then I adhered it to the card front with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I cut the butterfly with the Butterflies Thinlits Dies (available Jan 6) from Very Vanilla card stock and I sponged it with Soft Suede ink. I adhered the butterfly die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut a small piece of Venetian Crochet Trim, adhered it with a Glue Dot to the center of the butterfly and then adhered a Blushing Bride Resin Flower from the Artisan Embellishment Kit (available Jan 6) with a Glue Dot over the piece of Crochet Trim.
I cut another small piece of Venetian Crochet Trim, folded it in half and adhered it next to the sentiment with a Glue Dot. I cut a single rose from the Blushing Bride Rosette Trim (from the Artisan Embellishment Kit) and I adhered it over the Crochet Trim with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.
I adhered a strip of the Irresistibly Yours DSP that I’d sponged with Soft Suede ink to a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

Thanks so much Mary Sue, I love the Thinlits Dies too! 🙂
Amy, the combination of these new products is stunning! You did a great job of creating a simple yet very elegant card.
Thanks so much, I appreciate your comments! 🙂
Beautiful card, Amy! Thank you for sharing the technique with the Soft Suede on the dsp. Love the flowers. I rarely use much dimension because almost every card I make must be mailed. A friend recently shared with me that she buys small flat boxes in the bead/jewelry dept of the craft store. She places the card inside the box with some shredded paper scraps for cushion and slips the box into a padded envelope. It costs extra to do all that but for a very special person or occasion it would be a thoughtful gesture.
Thanks so much for your nice comments Melanie! And thanks for the tips on shipping those thicker cards, mailing those can be a bit of a problem. 🙂
I love this new dp that can be sponged, Amy! It’s gorgeous as a bg for your pretty butterfly and big Hello! Very nice accent pieces…..and a well balanced card~
Thanks Roberta, so glad that you liked my card. I love the new paper!! 🙂
Beautiful! Classy card. TFS
