Stampin’ Up! Painted Petals Pale Pastels Card

I used the Painted Petals stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today.

Painted Petals - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #250.

And the theme for my card was inspired by The Card Concept 26.  I’d say that my card fits into the clean and layered category for this challenge.

I started by adhering a panel of the Typeset Specialty DSP (on sale for 25% off through Jan 12) to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  Then I wrapped a strand of Very Vanilla 5/8″ Satin Ribbon around the panel, adhered it with SNAIL, then adhered the panel to a Pink Pirouette card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Painted Petals 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I wanted to create a soft, designer paper look with the Painted Petals stamp set so I inked up the flower images in Pink Pirouette ink, stamped them off once on scrap paper, then stamped them on a Very Vanilla panel.  I repeated that process for the leaf and stem image, except I used Pear Pizzaz ink.

Painted Petal 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Painted Petals stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then inked up and stamped off the image of the four dots in Pink Pirouette ink and I stamped it under the sentiment.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Pink Pirouette card stock with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I pulled out on of my favorite items from the Occasions Catalog, the Artisan Embellishment Kit, to add the final details.  I adhered one of the little Blushing Bride Resin Flowers with a Glue Dot and I snipped two of the roses from the Blushing Bride Rosette Trim and adhered them with Glue Dots as well.

Painted Petals 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the stamping off technique to stamp the images from the Painted Petals stamp set again in Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz inks on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

  1. I didn’t think I needed this stamp set either…..gosh, you keep making these decisions hard on me, Amy! : ) Beautiful card….I love the black in the dp and sentiment and how it is bold against the soft colors of your stamping images! Gorgeous creation as always~

  2. This is beautiful, so soft and girly. You have me convinced the Artisan Embellies kit is a must. You have done several cards with elements from it. You just keep enabling……:)

  3. This is a really beautiful card! I love the way you made the flowers so soft and then had the crisp dsp to set it off. Those Artisan embellishments are really becoming a favorite 🙂 This is one my most favorite cards Amy (yeah, I know I say that a lot, lol) But this is such a timeless elegant card you created 😉

  4. This is perfectly clean & layered! The Typeset DP is the perfect way to highlight your beautifully stamped panel. I love the ‘stamped-off’ softness of the colors and how expertly you balanced your design with the perfect amount of white space between the images. Thank you so much for sharing your card with us this week at the Card Concept Challenge 🙂 Happy crafting Amy !
