I used the Love Is Kindness and the Hello You Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.
My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #168.
The colors for my card were inspired by ColourQ #274.
I started by sponging the edges of a panel of Typeset Specialty DSP (on sale through today for 25% off) with Crumb Cake ink. I curled the corners of the panel just a bit to give it a worn look, then adhered it to a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL.
I put a Post-It Note over the sentiment so that I could ink up just the flower image from the Love Is Kindness stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I stamped the image on a Very Vanilla panel, then colored it with my Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers (Sale-A-Bration items, also available in the Annual Catalog).
I sponged the edges of the stamped panel with Crumb Cake ink and curled and frayed the corners just a bit, then adhered the panel to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock and then to a panel of Rich Razzleberry card stock that I’d also sponged with Crumb Caked and curled the edges.
I adhered the layered panel to the DSP panel with SNAIL, then cut the sentiment with the Hello You Thinlits Dies from Crumb Cake card stock and I used the Handheld Stapler to staple the sentiment to the card front. I did put a dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue under the top loop of the “h” to make sure that the sentiment was securely attached.
I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a knot, then adhered the layered panel to a Rich Razzleberry card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel near the flowers to complete the card front.
I stamped the Love Is Kindness image again in Tuxedo Black Ink on a Very Vanilla Panel, colored the image with my Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink on the inside of the card.

These tulips look SO different in these bright colors, Amy! I love the sketch on the side, the curled up papers and the thinlit “Hello”- can’t wait to get mine! Beautiful card, pretty inside too! (It’s finally getting lighter out there~)
Thanks so much Roberta! I’m glad that you liked my card. 🙂 I can finally make out the tree line at my house too!
Oh we were both thinking tulips today! Love this stamp…..first one I bought in preorder! Very pretty card…..love them on their side all relaxed and casual!
Thanks Linda! It’s gloomy and rainy here today so I figured that bright tulips would make you smile. 🙂 I love this set too, it’s seen so much ink already…the wood block is all stained!
Again I say, I love everything about this card. I like how you turned the image on its side, love your color combo, love the DSP. I hope you don’t get tired of hearing compliments so often but then again it’s all your fault! 🙂
Ha! Thanks so much Terri!! I love that you stop by and leave me comments. 🙂 And I don’t mind hearing how I can make things better too!!
Turning the image on its side is such a good idea! The colors are wonderful together, resulting in a very pretty card, Amy.
Thank you Melanie! I saw the idea to flip the image on Pinterest and loved it. 🙂
Ooh wow, what a gorgeous card Amy! Your colors are awesome together and nice with the curling 🙂 Also I think it’s brilliant how you anchored the hello in the 3 main spots, “h” “o” and so clever with the twine on the “ll” 😉 It looks like it’s floating and is a fab detail!
Thanks so much Jill!! Glad that you liked my card, it’s one of my favorites that I’ve created recently! 🙂
This is beautiful – I love how the background matches the stamp! It looks so special with the inside down as well…I’m way too lazy to do that with my cards! Thanks for playing along at Colour Q!
Thanks so much for stopping by to leave a comment! 🙂
