Stampin’ Up! Dancing Happy Easter Bunny

I used the Happy Easter Bunny and Crazy About You stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my little dancing bunny card today.

Happy Easter Bunny - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 214.

I started by adhering a panel from the Best Year Ever DSP pack (Sale-A-Bration item) to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then to a Coastal Cabana card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Easter Bunny 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I used several Post-It Notes to cover the sentiment and vine images around the bunny on the Happy Easter Bunny stamp, then I inked up the image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I removed the Post-It Notes and stamped the bunny image on a Whisper White panel, then colored it with my Light Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers (Sale-A-Bration items, also available in the Annual Catalog).

I cut the bunny image out with a Circles Collection Framelits Die and I adhered it with SNAIL to a Starburst Framelits die cut from Coastal Cabana card stock, then trimmed one edge off and adhered the image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Easter Bunny 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock, then I adhered it to a strip of Coastal Cabana card stock and to the card front (tucking it under the circle die cuts) with SNAIL.  I tied Whisper White Baker’s Twine through three buttons from the Best Day Ever Accessory Pack and I adhered them under the sentiment with Glue Dots.

Crazy About You - Stamp With Amy K

I punched flowers with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punch from Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral card sock, adhered them to the card front with rolled up Glue Dots, then added a Pearl Basic Jewel to the centers.  I cut one of the pompoms from the Calypso Coral Pompom Trim and I adhered it with a Glue Dot over the image of the bunny tail to finish the card front.

Best Day Ever DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I added a strip of leftover Best Year Ever DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock on the inside of the card.

  1. That was a lot of work on your part masking this fun bunny image, Amy, but he turned out perfectly….love the little flowers and buttons, and the pom pom tail is the cutest! Great looking card to welcome spring~

    • Thanks so much Roberta! The masking was actually really easy, I just stuck about 15 Post-It Notes all around the edges then inked up the image, peeled the Post-It Notes off and stamped. Glad that you liked his little tail too. 🙂

  2. Very cute card Amy!! I like your color combination as well as your use the sketch. Plus, who can resist that bunny tail?

  3. Oh my goodness, your card rocks! I love the way you masked the dancing bunny and popped him up on the starburst framelit – that is awesome. The dsp is perfect, love the accent buttons, and the pom pom is hilariously perfect! Amy, I love this card and I can’t wait to CASE this. Would even be great for birthday card, who wouldn’t love a dancing bunny?! 😉

P.S. I also really like your colors! 🙂
