Stampin’ Up! Happy Easter Bunny for Stamping and Blogging

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp called Happy Easter Bunny to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging sketch this week.  Be sure to stop by the other Design Team Member’s Blogs to check out their fantastic creations too!

Happy Easter Bunny - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the Stamping and Blogging SB94 Sketch:

Screen Shot 2015-03-03 at 2.54.36 PM

I started by sponging Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush inks on a panel of the Irresistibly Yours Speciality DSP (Sale-A-Bration item) with Sponge Daubers.  Then I wiped the excess ink off the embossed stripes and adhered the panel to a panel of Strawberry Slush card stock with SNAIL and to a Mossy Meadow card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Easter Bunny 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked up the “you make me” sentiment from the So You photopolymer stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink and I stamped it on a strip of Whisper White card stock.  Then I stamped the “HAPPY” sentiment from the So You stamp set in Strawberry Slush ink and again in Blushing Bride ink, slightly off from the first sentiment, on that same panel.  I adhered the sentiment strip to a strip of Strawberry Slush card stock with SNAIL, punched the end with the Hexagon Punch and adhered the sentiment banner to the card front with SNAIL.

Happy Easter Bunny 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I used lots of Post-It Notes to mask the sentiment and egg images on the Happy Easter Bunny stamp, inked it up in StazOn Jet Black ink and stamped it on a Whisper White panel.  I colored the bunny with my Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Write Markers, cut it out with an Ovals Collection Framelits Die, adhered it to an Ovals Collection Framelits die cut from Strawberry Slush card stock with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Easter Bunny 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched flowers with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punch (I think that my stamping friend Roberta is going to come down and take flower punch away soon…I can’t seem to stop using it!!) from Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush and Mossy Meadow card stocks.  I adhered a Mossy Meadow flower punch to the back of each of the other flower punches with Glue Dots, added a Pearl Basic Jewel to the centers, then adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots.  I tied a bow with Linen Thread through a Mossy Meadow Button from the In Color Accessory Pack (Sale-A-Bration item), then adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Irresistibly Yours DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I had a little leftover strip of the sponged Irresistibly Yours DSP and I adhered that to a Whisper White panel on the inside of the card.

Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Member’s blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.

  1. So cute Amy!! I like the colors you have chosen. I like the way you “shadowed” the HAPPY sentiment to give it depth.

  2. Oh Amy, the colours you have chosen are just perfect and you and Sandie were obviously on the same wave length! Love it x

  3. I am completely in love with this card! The masked bunny is adorable and is paired perfectly with your sentiment. The recipient of this card will for sure be delighted. 🙂

  4. Amy, if those little flowers work for you, then go for it! (smiling) They look so nice with the green underneath and on opposite sides of the oval! Your little bunny card just makes ME happy! I love those stripes as your bg! This card is just Cute….Cute…..Cute~

  5. It’s amazing how this bunny just makes me laugh! With his hands thrown up, dancing away 🙂 What gorgeous colors you chose, they definitely say Spring is coming, yay! I love the way you did the alternating stripes of the DSP. The shadowing of “Happy” is awesome, I am so going to case this card 😉 Thanks Amy!!

PS: we know you have calluses on your hands from the flower punch, lol! They are always a standout addition to your cards and we love them 😉

    • Thanks so much Jill! The bunny makes me smile every time that I look at him too!

I am starting to think that I’ll need some sort of an intervention and someone to take that little punch out of my hands…Those flowers are just so perfect for almost every card!! 🙂
