Stampin’ Up! B.Y.O.P Money Holder Graduation Card

I’m getting a little head start on the graduation gifts this year with the B.Y.O.P. stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

B.Y.O.P. - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches 176.

Screen Shot 2015-03-06 at 3.44.26 PMI started by cutting a scoring a money holder size card base from Bermuda Bay card stock.  I created a tutorial for this type of card base and you can see the tutorial here.

B.Y.O.P. 1 - Stamp With Amy K

Once I had the card base created as shown in my tutorial, I cut 1/4″ off the closure flap (so that the designer paper would show through under it) and punched the edge with my Scallop Edge Border Punch.  Then I stamped the sentiments from the B.Y.O.P. photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on the card front and I heat embossed them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

I stamped the top half of the image from the Celebrate Today photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink over the card front and I heat embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then I wrapped a strand of Bermuda Bay Baker’s Twine around the card front and tied a little bow.

B.Y.O.P. 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the B.Y.O.P stamp set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on the inside of the card, then added a strip of the Birthday Bash Specialty DSP to finish the inside of the card.  Once I was finished with the inside of the card, I added one of the stars Basics Hodgepodge Clips to the outside of the card to help it stay closed.

Super quick and easy and it fits the gift of cash perfectly!

  1. I deleted the FMS design this week because I couldn’t think why I would need a card that size, Amy. Good idea for a graduation money holder (you are so smart). Love the fun card with the touch of dp showing at the bottom! Your card definitely screams Celebration!

  2. This is such a fun graduation card! I love the little touches of gold stamped confetti, and I love how you’ve made this into a money holder. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  3. This is such a cool card Amy! Great for the graduate and I need to make a few of these myself, lol, perfect timing 🙂 I really like the way you used part of the balloon confetti stamp to add the confetti on your card front 😉 I can’t wait to get this set to case your card. Yes, 3/4 of my last order was all “Amy influenced” hee hee 😉 just waiting for it to get here!

  4. This is so cool! I love how you put the embossed stars on the front. You are so amazing with your ideas! Great color combo too.
