I used the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration exclusive stamp set called For Being You to create my card to share today. Staff appreciation week is coming up soon at school and I thought this stamp set would work perfectly for that occasion. 🙂
My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 219.
And the colors for my card were inspired by Fab Friday 59.
I started by stamping the sentiment from the For Being You stamp set (Sale-A-Bration item) in VersaMark Ink on an extra long Whisper White panel. Then I heat embossed it with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder and colored the letters with my Hello Honey and Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Markers. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Best Year Ever DSP (Sale-A-Bration item), then to a panel of Lullaby DSP with SNAIL.
I stamped the heart images from the For Being You stamp set in Calypso Coral ink above and below the sentiment (using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement), then stamped the second sentiment on a strip of Whisper White card stock in Calypso Coral ink. I punched the strip on one end with the Hexagon Punch to create the banner and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL. I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to trim the excess from both sentiment panels even with the edge of the Lullaby DSP panel.
I punched the edge of the Lullaby DSP panel with the Project Life Corner Punch, then adhered the focal panel with SNAIL to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock that I’d also punched with the Project Life Corner Punch. I adhered the layered panels to a Blushing Bride card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I punched flowers with the punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack from Hello Honey, Blushing Bride and Best Year Ever DSP and adhered them to the card front with Glue Dots. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of each flower to finish the card front.
I stamped the little heart images from the For Being You stamp set in Blushing Bride ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

Yay Amy, this is such an awesome idea for teacher appreciation day! The colors are bright and cheery. I like the way you used the For Being You stamp and added the DSP Itty Bitty punched flowers, perfect for your card 😉 Thanks for jogging my memory, I’m going to be starting to get my kid’s teachers cards ready, yay! No store bought ones this year 😛
Thanks Jill! I hope that the teachers like it too!! 🙂
I really like the angled panel…it really shows off that sentiment stamp! The little flowers with rhinestones are adorable accents too! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment! 🙂
I love the look of this card! The angles kind of bounce off each other – so much movement! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

Great take on the sketch! I love that the stripes go opposite the diagonal design of the card and love the little flowers. So glad you played along at MFT this week!
