Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Today Birthday Balloons

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Celebrate Today to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging sketch challenge this week.  Be sure to stop by the other Design Team Member’s blog to check out their creations too!

Celebrate Today - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the Stamping and Blogging SB96 sketch:

Screen Shot 2015-03-17 at 3.31.40 PMI started by stamping the “birthday” sentiment from the Celebrate Today photopolymer stamp set in Night of Navy ink on a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock.  I let the ink dry completely, then stamped the “happy” sentiment from that stamp set in VersaMark Ink above it and I heat embossed the sentiment with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Celebrate Today 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel from the Gold Foil Sheets with SNAIL, then to a Night of Navy card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a strip of DSP from the Birthday Bash Specialty DSP pack, punched the end with the Hexagon Punch, then adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

Celebrate Today 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the polka dot balloon image from the Celebrate Today stamp set in Calypso Coral Ink on a Calypso Coral card stock panel and the star image in VersaMark Ink on a Night of Navy card stock and I heat embossed the star image with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I cut the two balloons out with the matching Balloon Framelits Die, then cut a balloon from the Gold Foil Sheets as well.

Celebrate Today 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I looped strands of Gold Baker’s Twine around the balloon bases and taped the twine on the back, then adhered the Gold Foil and the Calypso Coral balloons together with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the Night of Navy balloon with Stampin’ Dimensionals then tied the strings together with another strand of Gold Baker’s Twine.  I adhered the bow in place on the card front with a rolled up Glue Dot.

Birthday Bash DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the leftover Birthday Bash DSP to a strip of Night of Navy card stock, then to a Whisper White card stock panel with SNAIL inside the card.

Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Member’s blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.
