Stampin’ Up! Painted Petals for Stamping and Blogging

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Painted Petals to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging sketch challenge this week.  Be sure to stop by the other Design Team Member’s Blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch!

Painted Petals - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the Stamping and Blogging SB100 sketch:

Screen Shot 2015-04-14 at 3.08.30 PMThe colors for my card were inspired by Sunday Stamps SSC99.

Screen Shot 2015-04-14 at 3.10.21 PMI started by stamping the image from the Something Lacy background stamp in VersaMark Ink on a Whisper White card stock panel.  I sprinkled the image with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Wisteria Wonder card stock with SNAIL, then to a Pink Pirouette card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Painted Petals 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut one of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies in half and I sponged it with Pink Pirouette ink.  I let it dry completely, then adhered it with SNAIL to the card front.

Painted Petals 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the flower image from the Painted Petals stamp set in Pink Pirouette ink, then used a Sponge Dauber to dab a little Wisteria Wonder ink around the edges.  I stamped the flowers on a Whisper White panel, then repeated the process for a second set of the flowers.  I stamped the leaf images from the Painted Petals stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink around the flowers, then stamped the sentiment from that stamp set in Wisteria Wonder ink on the panel.

Painted Petals 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Wisteria Wonder card stock with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Pear Pizzazz 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon around the panel and tied a bow.  I adhered the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish it.

Painted Petals 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the flower and leaf image from the Painted Petals stamp set in Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz inks again and stamped them on a Whisper White panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Wisteria Wonder, then to the inside of the card.
