I used the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Basics, Swallowtail and Hi There stamp sets to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging sketch challenge this week. Be sure to stop by the other Design Team Member’s Blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch!
Here is this weeks sketch, SB102. Hope that you’ll play along with us too!
I started by stamping the image from the Swallowtail stamp in Blushing Bride ink on a panel of Blushing Bride card stock.
I stamped the hello sentiment from the Hi There stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on the Blushing Bride panel then I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Blackberry Bliss card stock with SNAIL, then to a Sahara Sand card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut two banners from the Something Borrowed DSP pack, using my Hexagon Punch to create the banner ends and I adhered them to the card front the SNAIL. I cut a butterfly from Blackberry Bliss card stock with the medium sized Butterflies Framelits Die and I adhered it with a Glue Dot to the card front.
I inked the image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Blushing Bride ink, then sponged a little Blackberry Bliss ink around the edges with a Sponge Dauber and I stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I cut the image out with the matching Butterflies Framelits Die and adhered it with a Glue Dot to the larger butterfly.
I pulled a strand of Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine (on the retiring list for 50% off!) through a Crumb Cake button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons pack, tied a bow, then adhered it with a Glue Dot to the butterfly. I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment to finish the card front.
I inked the Swallowtail stamp image again in Blushing Bride, stamped it on scrap paper twice, then stamped it on a Whisper White panel inside the card.
Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Member’s blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.

Thank you Terri! 🙂
Gorgeous!
Thanks Linda!! 🙂
Oh Amy, as usual, another STUNNING card……Love all the butterflies.
Thanks so much Sandi! 🙂
The Swallowtail Butterfly is one of my favorite stamps, woo hoo! I love how you used it on your card today Amy 🙂 It is so neat the way you made the butterflies kinda cross each other on the front and the detail on the smaller butterfly, wow! And the Blackberry Bliss hello on the bottom really brings out the layers of the butterfly. My favorite though – is the inside stamp off of the Swallowtail…imagine opening your card up to see your message…just beautiful 😀 Awesome, Awesome, I am so going to do this Amy!
Thanks Jill! I have fun making the card, it came together really quickly for me. 🙂
WOW I love you used butterflies to make this card. They are just my favorites. And the colors are just beautiful. An absolute WOW card Amy!
Thanks Caro! 🙂
