My box of sneak peek items from the Stampin’ Up! 2015-16 Annual Catalog has arrived and the You’ve Got This stamp set is the first one that I pulled out to play with. I also had to use some of those new 2015-17 In Colors too! 🙂
My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #163.
I started by inking the background image from the You’ve Got This stamp set in Tip Top Taupe ink and stamping it off on scrap paper twice, then stamping it on a panel of Shimmery White card stock .
I colored the flower image from the You’ve Got This stamp set with my Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush and Delightful Dijon Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it over the background image. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Tip Top Taupe card stock with SNAIL, then adhered a little of the Tip Top Taupe 1″ Dotted Lace Trim to the back of the panel. I adhered the layered panel to a Watermelon Wonder card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the banner, I adhered a 1″ square of Cucumber Crush card stock to a 1″ strip of Watermelon Wonder card stock with SNAIL, punched the end with the awesome new Banner Triple Punch (it punches banner ends in 1″, 1-1/2″ and 2″ widths), then adhered the banner to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the sentiment from the You’ve Got This stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink on a strip of Shimmery White card stock and I adhered it to the banner with SNAIL. I added a 2015-17 In Color Blossom Accent to the banner, using a Glue Dot to adhere it, then I rolled up a Glue Dot and stuck it in the Blossom Accent Center and added a Pearl Basic Jewel to finish the embellishment.
I colored the flower image from the You’ve Got This stamp set with my 2015-17 In Color Markers, stamped it off twice on scrap paper, then stamped it on a Shimmery White card stock panel inside the card.
I can’t wait to play with more new goodies soon! 🙂

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog
Pretty card! I like what you did with the background stamp to add texture. I’ve been looking around at other blogs and the two different green colors will take some getting used to( by me, anyway). Lots of confusion about the meaning of macaron vs macaroon. A macaron is a French candy-like item made from meringue that differs from a macaroon, which is a type of biscuit. In the USA, we think of a coconut cookie when we speak about macaroons. The French macaron is very sweet and often made in many pretty colors. They are distinctly different. Just thought I’d share. 🙂
Thanks Melanie! Glad that you liked my card. 🙂 And thanks for the info on the macaron vs macaroon…I think that I’ll just call it “mint”, then I won’t goof it up! 😉
Wow! You got that fast! 🙂 Lucky you! I’m still waiting on mine 🙁
I did…paid for a little expedited shipping since I was so excited to get my hands on the new stuff! 🙂
Adorable card BTW 🙂
Thanks! 🙂
Somebody got a whole lot of new goodies, I see! Enjoy them, Amy! I really like the bg stamp with this flower image! Can’t wait to see what else you come up with! Last week I was at a yard sale and found 6 old wood mount SU sets (new to me) for $2.00 ; )each!
I did get a big box of new goodies!! Glad that you like my card. Have fun with your “new” stamp sets! That’s an awesome deal!! 🙂
