Stampin’ Up! Sassy Salutations With Cotton Paper Flowers

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets Sassy Salutations and Gorgeous Grunge plus a little of the new Cotton Paper Assortment to create my card to share today.

Sassy Salutations - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #187.

Screen Shot 2015-05-24 at 9.08.57 PMI started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I punched the corners with the Project Life Corner Punch, then adhered it with SNAIL to a panel of Pool Party card stock that I’d also punched with the Project Life Corner Punch.

I wrapped a strand of Pool Party 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon around the panel and adhered it with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panel to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Sassy Salutations 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Sassy Salutations stamp set in Pool Party ink on a panel of Whisper White.  Then I inked up the small dots from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink, stamped it off on scrap paper once and stamped it across the panel.  I repeated the process again in Watermelon Wonder, then twice in Delightful Dijon ink.  I punched the corners with the Project Life Corner Punch and adhered the panel to a panel of Pool Party card stock (also punched with the Corner Punch) with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I create the flowers, I used the Pansy Punch and the Petite Petal Punch.  For each flower I punched four flowers from the Cotton Paper Assortment, placed them one on top of another, pierced the center with my Paper-Piercing Tool, then placed a 1/8″ Mini Brad through the center.  I crumpled and fluffed the layers and adhered them with Glue Dots to the card front.  I cut three leaves from the Cotton Paper with the Bouquet Bigz L Die and tucked them under the larger flower, adhering them with SNAIL.

I stamped the Gorgeous Grunge image in Pool Party ink on a Whisper White panel, punched the corners with the Project Life Corner Punch, then adhered it inside the card.
