I used the new Stampin’ Up! stamp sets called You’ve Got This and Best Thoughts (Host Exclusive) to create a watercolored card for the Stamping and Blogging sketch this week.
Here is the sketch SB106, head over to the Sketch & Stamp blog to play along! And be sure to click the links below to see what the other Design Team Members have created with this sketch.
I started by stamping the flower image from the You’ve Got This stamp set and the butterfly image from the Best Thoughts stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper. I used my Aqua Painter and Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe and Tangelo Twist ink pads to watercoloring the images.
I let the images dry completely, then I adhered a strip of the Watermelon Wonder 1″ Dotted Lace Trim to the back of the Watercolor Paper panel with SNAIL. I adhered a strip of the 2015-17 In Color Envelope Paper to a panel of Watermelon Wonder card stock with SNAIL, then I adhered the Watercolor Paper panel to the Watermelon Wonder panel with Fast Fuse Adhesive. I adhered the layered panel to a Tip Top Taupe card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the You’ve Got This stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then punched it out with the 2″ Circle Punch. I adhered the sentiment circle to a circle cut from Watermelon Wonder card stock with a Circles Collection Framelits Die, then I trimmed one edge off. I adhered the sentiment circle to the card front with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
I punched three flowers from Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush card stocks with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack flower punch. I adhered the two flowers together and the to card front with Glue Dots, then added a Pearl Basic Jewel to the center of each flower to finish the card front.
I stamped the butterfly images from the Best Thoughts stamp set in Tip Top Taupe ink across a Whisper White panel inside the card.
Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Member’s blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.
