Stampin’ Up! Awesomely Artistic Double Time Stamping

I used another beautiful new stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called Awesomely Artistic to create my card to share today.

Awesomely Artistic - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #126.

The theme for my card was inspired by Just Us Girls #286.

I started by pulling out my MISTI…if you haven’t heard about this stamping tool, it’s pretty awesome!  I inked up the flower image from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set in StazOn Jet Black Ink and I stamped it with my MISTI twice in the exact same spot on two panels of Very Vanilla card stock.

Awesomely Artistic 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the dragonfly image from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set in Crumb Cake ink and I stamped it on the two panels with my MISTI.  Then I cut 3/4″ off all four sides of one of the panels.

Awesomely Artistic 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I colored the flower images with my Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers, adhered the larger panel to a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock with SNAIL, then to a Blushing Bride card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Awesomely Artistic 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink on the smaller panel, adhered that panel to a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I added a single Metal Rimmed Pearl to the lower right side of the smaller panel to finish the card front.

Awesomely Artistic 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the dragonfly image from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a Very Vanilla card stock panel inside the card.

  1. Amy, this card is gorgeous! How on earth could I have missed this set in the new catty? It’s a must-have with lots of potential, as this card clearly shows!

    P.S. My shares arrived safely! I don’t think there’s a DSP that I don’t like!

    • I love this stamp set too, the images are just beautiful! 🙂 So glad that your shares arrived safely, have fun using everything! The DSP is outstanding this year. 🙂

  2. Love this card Amy. I am waiting to play with it, you gave me inspiration! I looked up the MISTI. I still don’t get what that is, even after reading the description????

    • Thanks Kristi! I did a quick description in reply to Brittany’s comment. But do a google search for the MISTI and you’ll see lots of videos for how to use it. It’s an awesome tool!

  3. This looks like a Beautiful flowering tree the way you stamped it! How pretty! The dragonfly is quite dramatic as it’s heading for the lovely flowers~

    • Thanks Brittany! The MISTI is a tool that allows you to stamp in exactly the same please repeatedly, so you get very nicely stamped images and it makes the multilayer cards super simple. There are tons of YouTube videos about how to use it, they can demonstrate it much better than I can explain it. 🙂

  4. Such a pretty card! Thanks for explaining how you made this one. I may have to check out Misti in more detail.

  5. I absolutely LOVE my MISTI! I’m pretty good with the Stamp-a-ma-jig, but the MISTI is so much easier and more precise. It also lends itself to different techniques that would be impossible any other way. I was taken aback with the price, but it turns out to be worth every penny! I hang out on StampNation, and the cards that are being made there with the MISTI are astonishing! To the ladies who commented above, I just want to say: Get one! Get one now! You’ll be glad you did!

  6. Sorry to have missed your last six cards! They’re all beautiful and I cannot choose a favorite – I want to CASE them all. About a month ago, I finally broke down and purchased a MISTI although I kept talking myself out of it. Now that I have it I am pleased with it and like that my stamping is no longer crooked and the colors more rich because of stamping multiple times in precisely the same spot. I made my Independence Day cards early – before I had the MISTI. The MISTI would have made stamping 20 identical cards so much easier!

  7. Hi Amy, I have been looking for a MISTI, where did you find your? Was it on line or was it at a certain store? I love to stamp and I am a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, I was so hoping that they might have it in the catalog, but they didn’t. If you could let me know I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Cindy D. Howard

  8. Wow, this is drop dead gorgeous, Love everything about it and can’t wait until my order arrives with this new stamp set in it…thanks for the inspiration Amy

  9. Love your card, Amy! I did this technique before with 3 layers, but you made it sound so much easier. I have a MISTI and absolutely love it! Thanks so mcuh for all your inspirations.
Hope to take another class with you soon.
