Stampin’ Up! Be The Star Cheers Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Be the Star and the new Greetings Thinlits Dies to create my card for The Paper Players #249 color challenge this week.

The design for my card was inspired by TGIF Challenges #07.

I started by adhering a panel of Real Red DSP from the Brights DSP Stack to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered a Pool Party DSP panel from the Schoolhouse DSP pack to a panel of Whisper White card stock, then to the larger DSP panel with SNAIL.

Be The Star 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the two star images from the Be The Star stamp set in Island Indigo and Pool Party inks on the corresponding card stock, then cut them out with the Stars Framelits Dies.  I punched a Medium Star Punch from Red Glimmer Paper, then stacked up the stars and adhered them together with Glue Dots, then to the DSP panels with SNAIL.

Be The Star 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut the “cheers” sentiment with one of the Greetings Thinlits Dies from Silver Glimmer Paper and used a piece of a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the right side to the DSP panel.

Be The Star 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I tucked a little strand of silver thread that I’d pulled from the Silver Metallic Baker’s Twine (I need to get some of that new Silver Metallic Thread!) between the stars, then used the Handheld Stapler to staple the thread and left side of the sentiment to the card front.  I adhered the layered card front to an Island Indigo card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Brights DSP Stack - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the Real Red DSP from the Brights DSP Stack to a Whisper White panel inside the card.
