I used the Garden In Bloom stamp set and a little of the English Garden DSP from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for the Sketch and Stamp SB109 sketch challenge this week.
Here is this weeks Sketch & Stamp SB109 sketch. Be sure to stop by the Sketch and Stamp blog to play along too!
The butterflies on my card were inspired by The Card Concept 37. I would say that my card falls into the clean and layered category.
I started by adhering a panel of the English Garden DSP to a panel of Old Olive card stock with SNAIL, then to a Blushing Bride card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered a thin strip of Old Olive card stock with SNAIL down the right side of the card front.
I stamped the images from the Garden in Bloom photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede, Blushing Bride, Hello Honey and Old Olive inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I adhered that panel to a panel of Blushing Bride card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the butterfly images from the Garden in Bloom stamp set again in Soft Suede and Hello Honey inks on a separate panel of Whisper White card stock. I snipped them out with my Paper Snips, then adhered them over the butterflies that I’d stamped on the larger Whisper White panel, using a Glue Dot to adhere them. Then I added three Pearl Basic Jewels down the center of each butterfly.
I stamped the sentiment from the Garden in Bloom stamp set in Old Olive ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then I adhered the sentiment panel to a panel of Old Olive card stock with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment and butterfly images from the Garden in Bloom stamp set in Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Hello Honey and Old Olive inks on a Whisper White panel inside the card.
