I used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for The Paper Players #250 challenge this week. The challenge this week is to make a clean and simple summer treat card…nothing better than a little ice cream to help cool off on a hot summer day!
Be sure to stop by The Paper Players blog to check out the awesome projects created by the other Design Team Members. And be sure to play along too! 🙂
The layout for my card was inspired by Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 273.
I started by adhering a panel of Blushing Bride DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then to a Calypso Coral card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered a small strip of Calypso Coral DSP from the Subltes DSP Stack with SNAIL to the lower part of the card front. Then I snipped the edge off a silver doily from the Metallic Foil Doilies pack and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL. I adhered a panel of Whisper White card stock to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock, then to a panel of So Saffron card stock with SNAIL. Then I adhered the layered panels to the card front with SNAIL
I stamped the ice cream and cone images from the Sprinkles of Life Photopolymer stamp set in Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral inks on corresponding card stock colors. I punched the ice cream out with the Tree Builder Punch and I snipped the cone out with my Paper Snips. I adhered all of the pieces to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a Whisper White panel. I punched the sentiment out with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch and I layered it over a 1-3/8″ Circle Punch from Calypso Coral card stock. I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with SNAIL, then pulled a strand of Silver Metallic Baker’s Twine through a Calypso Coral Button from the Subltes Designer Buttons pack. I tied a little bow with the twine, then adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot.
I inked up the cone and ice cream images from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set in Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral inks, stamped them off on scrap paper and then stamped them on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.
